Saturday August 12th Review

The second set of Sky Bet League Two fixtures were played yesterday.

Lets have a look at the results from the rest of the league:

Starting off with the top of the table, Luton were looking to build on their huge 8-2 opening day win against Yeovil Town. The Hatters faced a Barnet side buoyant after beating Peterborough United in the Caraboa Cup. Luton were stunned by a late Barnet goal and lost the game 1-0. This result ultimately highlights the competitiveness of the league.

Coventry made it two wins from two after they beat Grimsby 2-0, making them the only side with a 100% winning record. Mansfield are up to second after they eased past Forest Green Rovers 2-0 to give the Stags their first win of the season. Wycombe also recorded their first win after travelling to Port Vale and winning 3-2.

Newport, Stevenage, Crewe and Lincoln have all drawn the first two fixtures.

Down at the bottom end of the table, there are three clubs yet to register a win. These are Chesterfield, Crawley and Cambridge. For these teams a win next week is imperative, a potential must win game and we are only two games into the new season.

Here is the official Sky Bet League Two results from the rest of the league and what the table looks like.
