PLAYER REACTION: Lincoln players react to last night’s Carabao Cup result

After a 4-0 win over Port Vale yesterday, Lincoln City have now won their first three games.

A 1-0 win over Northampton, a 4-1 home win over Swindon and now an emphatic 4-0 victory over Port Vale.

It was a ruthless display of finishing with Jason Shackell, Matt Green, Michael O’Connor and John Akinde all on the scoresheet.

Here is how a few of the players reacted:

New signing Joan Luque wasn’t able to earn any minutes last night, but he’s pleased with the win and showed his appreciation to the 468 travelling contingent.

Tom Pett should be very pleased with this Man of the Match performance. A great display of midfield play and he’s sure to give Danny Cowley a selection headache after his excellent showing.

A proud moment for young Ellis Chapman who got his first senior start for the Imps last night. I thought he had a solid performance and can take great confidence from it.

Grant Smith had a very good game yesterday, and I mentioned it before in a tweet yesterday about his save in the second half. Top class 👏

Harry Toffolo is ready for the big derby clash with Grimsby this Saturday!
